Genesis DFW Stratocaster® Pickup Set

The DFW pickup set is a faithful reproduction of the 2004 Masterbuilt “Number One” Stratocaster®, of which only 100 pieces were made. Using a precise physics-based approach, Genesis reverse – engineered the pickups from our reference guitar, serial #JC218.

Our method removes the uncertainty found in most other attempts, where results were often based on subjective listening and accepting a tone that was merely “close enough.” The DFW pickups, on the other hand, are an exact replica set with spot-on frequency responses across all positions, achieved through matching construction, magnet formula, and coil specifications.

The set is named after Dallas – Fort Worth, a key contributing force of blues music and home to the legendary player behind the original “Number One” guitar. Fittingly, this set was also developed while our shop was briefly based in Dallas.
